Oops – we did it again! We converted yet another Epson EcoTank inkjet printer into a sublimation printer. This time, we went with the EcoTank 15000—and with good reason. It’s a wide format printer, so it can print up to 13″ x 19″, which gives us a much wider range of items we can sublimate on without having to try tiling together the graphics.

We have loved using our smaller one (EcoTank 2720), but we quickly realized the limitations of only being able to print up to 8.5″ x 14″. Even at that size, we couldn’t do a 30oz tumbler in one go. So when Hiipoo, a maker of sublimation ink, approached us about trying out their ink, we said YES!

For full disclosure, Hiipoo provided us the sublimation ink (which now comes in bottles designed to fit the EcoTank), their soon-to-be-released Hiipoo Sublimation Paper, as well as the EcoTank 15000 so we could test it all out. The results speak for themselves, so we’ll just point you to the video so you can see how we converted the EcoTank 15000 into a sublimation printer, as well as how the ink and paper performed:
