We’re a couple of weeks into social distancing and finally finding some time to DIY our way through this pandemonium. Truly, making things and staying somewhat busy is what’s going to keep us sane.
For this project, we made a custom bench cushion in under an hour using very few materials and tools. So if you’re looking for a fun, simple DIY project around the house while we’re all stuck inside, definitely consider tackling this one.
I’ve had a West Elm bench that I got on super sale years ago when I first moved to the city. It has followed me through two apartments and two houses. Currently, it sits in what I’ve lovingly referred to as the awkward space in the master (BIG update coming to that on Friday!). It’s been crying out for a proper bench cushion.
Pre-quarantine, I did a quick inventory on my supplies and realized that we had most of what we needed for this project already.
We just needed some batting (which you can order online).
We’re hoping to do more easy DIYs like this, complete with short video tutorials.
So if you have five minutes (literally), check out the video below to see how we made it!
WARNING: Since the project was so straightforward, we *might* have a little too much with the sound/video editing. You decide. 😉 #dundundunduuuuuhhhhhhnnnnnn
