Hey there, friends! It’s hard to believe Fall is already here – this year has flown by. While we spend as much outside as possible in the Summer, cooler temps mean more time with friends and family around the table…making it the perfect time to indulge in the art of tablescaping!

Annnnnnnnd since I recently discovered the absolutely magical world of milk glass, I’d love to share why this vintage staple is a fantastic choice for designing tablescapes, especially as we embrace the cozy vibes of fall. While many often think of milk glass as classic white, it actually comes in an array of colors, from soft pastels to rich jewel tones and even black, making it a versatile addition to any seasonal setting.

I have now dressed up several tables end to end with milk glass filled with flowers–and it doesn’t matter which combo I used–the milk glass truly shined in every setting, effortlessly elevating the décor. Here are a few of my favorites, along with (affiliate) links of where you can find these amazing vintage pieces on Etsy!

Sophisticated Halloween:

Black milk glass shines in this elevated tablescape. This was the table that proved I could do a “Halloween” theme without it looking tooooo on the nose.

This tables features a pair of black water goblets on each end and large two-handled trophy vase in the center. Shop this look on Etsy (affiliate links):

Deck the Holidays

Two of the most traditional patterns for milk glass have to be hobnail…and the grapes, which is why I put these two together for a holiday full of traditions in its own right: my Christmas table.

Little hobnail planters on each end are each flanked by these gorgeous paneled grape taper candle holders. Shop the look on Etsy (affiliate links):

Spring into Action

To drive home the point that milk glass goes with every season, I wanted to do one non-Fall/Winter setup.

So I bring you: spring pastels. How lovely are these Randall Glass Wheat planters and this Daisy and Button double taper holder? Chef’s kiss! Shop the look on Esty (affiliate links):

As you can see, in addition to its timeless appeal, milk glass can seamlessly transition from one season to the next, allowing you to create stunning tablescapes year-round. Plus, its ability to mix and match with other materials means you can always put your unique stamp on your design. So, as you prepare for fall gatherings and beyond, consider incorporating milk glass into your tablescape. It’s not just about aesthetics; it’s about creating a space where memories will be made.
