We’re continuing on with the wedding DIYs, and this time, we wanted a beautiful ring box to display and store our wedding rings together. As hexagons are becoming quite the theme in our wedding, given Daniel’s love of bees, we knew that we wanted to make a hexagon ring box.

With this unique shape, we went right to our Glowforge laser cutter and leaned into the plywood bands for added effect, rather than trying to hide them. We topped the ring box off with some 1/4” clear acrylic engraved with the phrase “we do,” and used a dark blue velvet for the interior to offset our silver rings.

Truly, we are in love with how this DIY wedding ring box turned out, and it wouldn’t have been as easy without our Glowforge.
